INDICATIONS FOR USE:
Designed and developed for patients with permanent, long-term disabilities and conditions, the ProBasics Electric Hospital Beds are intended to provide assistance to a patients and/or their caregiver for proper positioning of patients who:
1. Require the elevation of the head of the bed 30 or more degrees most of the time due to, but not limited to, congestive heart failure, chronic pulmonary disease, or problems with aspiration
2. Require special attachments, such as traction equipment, that can only be attached to a hospital bed
3. Require an adjustable bed to permit transfers to chair, wheelchair, or standing position. This includes, but is not limited to:
• Severe arthritis and other injuries to lower extremities
• Spinal cord injuries (including quadriplegia and paraplegia), muscular dystrophies, multiple limb amputations,
and stroke, where the patient is able to transfer from a bed to a wheelchair with or without help
4. Require frequent changes in body position or
might require an immediate need for a change in body position to avert a life
threatening situation.
These Head and Foot Spring Sections allow patients to adjust their bed position to their liking. For use with ProBasics Single Motor Bed (#PBSMB).
